1. Company Information

1.2 Operating Hours

We operate 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (WITA - Waktu Indonesia Tengah/Bali Time). WhatsApp support is available during business hours for questions and assistance.

Note: Delivery times are estimates and may vary due to traffic conditions. Delivery fees range from IDR 100,000 - 350,000 depending on location (payable in cash on delivery). Free delivery is included for rentals of 3+ days within our standard service areas.

2. Newsletter & Subscriptions

Terms for our free newsletter and any future subscription products

2.1 Service Description

Our newsletter is a free email service providing travel tips, safety guidance, promotional offers, and company updates.

2.2 Frequency & Delivery

We typically send between 0–4 emails per month. Frequency may increase for time‑sensitive safety alerts or important service changes.

2.3 Unsubscribe & Consent Withdrawal

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us at info@bali-ramah-scooter-rental.id. Unsubscribing removes you from marketing emails but does not affect essential booking communications.

2.4 Paid Tiers (If Introduced)

  • Billing cycles and prices will be shown at checkout before purchase
  • Cancel any time to stop future charges; access continues until the end of the paid period
  • Refunds are not provided for partial periods unless required by law

3. Rental Agreement Terms

Understanding your rental contract and obligations

2.1 Agreement Formation

This rental agreement ("Agreement") is entered into between CV BBDINDOKAYA ("Company", "Owner", "we", "us", or "our") and the person identified as the renter ("Renter", "you", or "your") upon completion of the booking process. By renting a vehicle from us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

2.2 Rental Period

The rental period begins at the agreed delivery time and ends at the agreed return time. Our booking system requires a minimum rental period of 3 days to ensure availability and service quality. Extensions must be requested in advance and are subject to vehicle availability and additional charges. If the vehicle is returned earlier than the agreed time and date, no refund will be made (as specified in your rental contract).

2.3 What's Included

Every rental includes the following at no additional cost (as specified in your rental contract):

  • Vehicle rental for the agreed period
  • Helmets (quantity as specified in your booking)
  • Full tank of petrol at start of rental
  • Vehicle keys
  • STNK (Vehicle Registration Document) - required for legal operation
  • Free delivery and pickup (for rentals of 3+ days within standard service areas)

2.4 Delivery and Pickup Service

We provide delivery and pickup services throughout our service areas:

  • Free delivery and pickup: Included with rentals of 3+ days within our standard service areas
  • Delivery fees for other rentals: IDR 100,000 - 350,000 depending on location (payable on the spot)
  • Delivery times: See Section 1.3 for specific delivery times to your area
  • Return arrangement: Vehicle must be returned to the original pickup location, or you may order pickup service to any other location for the same fees as delivery

Note: Delivery fees are as specified in your rental contract and payable in cash upon delivery.

4. Renter Requirements

Essential requirements for all vehicle rentals

3.1 Eligibility and Qualifications

The Renter states that they are physically and legally qualified to operate the vehicle. To rent a vehicle, you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Age requirement: Be at least 21 years old (verified by passport)
  • Valid license: Hold a valid motorcycle license from your country of residence OR an International Driving Permit (IDP) with motorcycle endorsement
  • Valid passport: Provide a clear, unexpired passport (photograph required for our records)
  • Contact information: Provide accurate contact details including active WhatsApp number for communication during rental
  • Emergency contact: Provide full emergency contact details (name, phone number, relationship) for safety purposes
  • Document verification: Present all required documents in person upon vehicle delivery for verification
  • Physical capability: Demonstrate ability to safely operate the specific vehicle model rented
  • Legal compliance: Agree to comply with all Indonesian traffic laws and regulations

3.2 Motorcycle License Requirements

Legal requirement: Indonesian law requires all foreign riders to have an International Driving Permit (IDP) with motorcycle endorsement to legally operate motorcycles on public roads.

Our policy: While we accept valid motorcycle licenses from your home country for rental verification purposes, you are fully responsible for ensuring you comply with Indonesian traffic laws. We strongly recommend obtaining an IDP before your arrival in Bali.

Important: If stopped by police without a valid IDP, you may face fines, legal consequences, or vehicle impoundment. The Company is not responsible for any legal issues arising from riding without proper documentation.

3.3 Additional Driver Restrictions

Primary driver only: The rented vehicle shall not be operated by any other person other than the named Renter without written permission from the Owner.

Additional driver liability: If the Renter allows any other driver under the age of 21 years old to drive the rented vehicle, the Renter will be fully responsible for all expenses relating to the rental vehicle and any other vehicle involved in any type of accident.

Additional authorized drivers: Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement for an additional fee, subject to the same requirements and age restrictions as the primary renter (must be 21+ years old).

5. Vehicle Restrictions and Exclusions

Important restrictions and prohibited uses of rented vehicles

4.1 Prohibited Uses

The rented vehicle shall NOT be used for:

  • Carrying passengers or property for hire (commercial use)
  • Pushing, propelling, or towing another vehicle, trailer, or any other thing without written permission
  • Any race or competition
  • Any illegal purpose
  • Operation in a negligent manner
  • Operating by unauthorized persons: The vehicle shall not be operated by any person other than the named Renter without written permission from the Owner
  • Vehicle modifications: Modifying, altering, or tampering with any vehicle parts, components, or accessories is strictly prohibited

4.2 Geographic Restrictions

The renter is not allowed to take the vehicle outside Bali without written permission from the Owner. All vehicles must remain within Bali province during the rental period.

4.3 Fuel Requirements

All fuel used during the rental period shall be paid for by the Renter. The vehicle is provided with a full gasoline tank and must be returned with a full tank of gasoline.

Fuel Return Charge: If the vehicle is not returned with a full tank of gasoline, the Renter will be charged IDR 50,000 + the actual fuel refill cost.

6. Insurance and Liability Disclaimer

Important information about insurance coverage and liability

5.1 No Insurance Coverage

NO INSURANCE PROVIDED

The Renter agrees that the vehicle is NOT covered under insurance and the driver or passengers are NOT covered. You are fully responsible for all damages, accidents, and third-party claims.

The Renter will be fully responsible for any damages in the event of an accident or during the period of using the vehicle, as well as in the event of theft of the vehicle.

5.2 Personal Belongings

The Renter agrees that personal belongings and other items left in the vehicle at any time are not covered by any insurance or protection. The Owner is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

5.3 Renter's Full Responsibility

The Renter undertakes to cover all costs in order to return the vehicle in the same condition as at the beginning of the rental period. This includes repairs, replacement, and any associated costs.

5.4 Repair Requirements

Official Dealer Repairs Only: ALL repairs must be done at official Honda, Yamaha, or Suzuki dealers only. No unauthorized repair shops or mechanics are permitted.

Accident Reporting: Report ALL accidents to police and contact us immediately. Police reports are required for all incidents.

5.5 Travel Insurance Important Notice

Please review your travel insurance policy requirements. If an incident occurs while operating a scooter, your insurance provider will require both your driver's license and a police report.

Important: Police can only provide insurance reports if you possess a valid driver's license authorized for use in Indonesia.

If you need assistance obtaining an official driving license in Bali, we can provide consultation and guidance on the process, which must be completed through official government authorities.

5.6 Vehicle Condition Documentation

Video Documentation: During vehicle delivery, we will capture a comprehensive video recording of the vehicle's condition, including all exterior surfaces, mechanical components, and accessories.

Secure Storage: This delivery video will be uploaded and safely saved to your customer profile on our website under your account for future reference and liability protection.

Evidence Protection: This documentation serves as official evidence of the vehicle's condition at the time of delivery and helps protect both parties in case of disputes or insurance claims.

7. Fees, Charges, and Deposit

6.1 No Security Deposit Policy

NO DEPOSIT REQUIRED

We do not require a security deposit for vehicle rentals. Payment is made in full at the time of booking confirmation.

However, the Renter remains fully responsible for any damages, losses, or charges as specified in the rental agreement and detailed in section 6.2 below.

6.2 Lost Item Charges

The following charges apply for lost or damaged items (as specified in our rental contract):

  • Lost vehicle certificate (STNK): IDR 700,000 (required for legal vehicle operation)
  • Lost vehicle keys: IDR 1,100,000 (includes key replacement and re-coding)
  • Lost helmets (each): IDR 350,000 (brand new replacement cost)
  • Fuel tank not full upon return: IDR 50,000 + fuel refill cost

Note: All charges are payable directly by the Renter. Payment must be made before vehicle return or will be deducted from any outstanding refunds.

6.3 Delivery and Pickup Fees

Delivery and pickup fees are calculated based on rental duration and location changes:

  • Free delivery: Included with all rentals of 3+ days to your specified location
  • Location changes: IDR 300,000 fee applies for changes to different locations (requires admin verification)
  • Vehicle return: Must be returned to original pickup location at no charge
  • Return pickup service: IDR 100,000 - 350,000 fee for pickup at different locations (payable on the spot)

Payment: All delivery and pickup fees are payable in cash (IDR) upon service. Exact change is appreciated.

8. Legal Terms and Jurisdiction

Legal framework and jurisdiction governing this agreement

7.1 Governing Law

The parties consent that this is a legal binding document in the territory of Indonesia. All terms and conditions are governed by Indonesian law and any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with Indonesian legal procedures.

7.2 Vehicle Condition Statement

The Owner states that to the best of their knowledge and belief, the vehicle is in sound and safe condition and free of any known defects or faults which would affect its safe operation under normal use.

7.3 Agreement Acceptance

By completing the rental booking process and accepting the vehicle, the Renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to all terms and conditions outlined in this agreement. The rental agreement becomes legally binding upon vehicle delivery and acceptance.

7.4 Data Disclosure to Authorities

Legal Compliance: If police or other legal authorities require customer data for official investigations, we have the right and obligation to share relevant information as required by Indonesian law.

Scope: This may include customer identification documents, rental agreements, booking information, vehicle condition documentation, and any other data pertinent to legal investigations or proceedings.

By agreeing to these terms, you consent to such disclosure when legally required by Indonesian authorities.

10. Communications and Technology

How we provide support and use technology during your rental

9.1 Customer Support via Intercom

We use Intercom Messenger to provide in‑app support and communication related to your bookings. We enable Messenger Security (JWT) to verify your identity via a server‑signed token. We share only minimal identifiers with Intercom (user_id, name, email, created_at) to facilitate support. Your conversations are used solely for customer service and are not used to train Intercom models. You may receive essential rental communications via Intercom, WhatsApp, or email in connection with your booking.

9.2 AI‑Assisted Services

  • We use AI tools to assist with customer support, content generation, and service quality.
  • We do not allow third‑party AI providers to train on your personal data or conversations.
  • We minimize the data sent to AI services and use anonymization or aggregation where possible.
  • AI outputs are reviewed by our team and do not create contractual obligations on their own.
